The United States and Multilateral Organizations

The United States should withdraw from membership in the United Nations and associated organizations. We should not permit outside institutions to determine American policy, to supersede the governing institutions of our republic, or to tax our citizens. Recent investigations have shown that at the highest levels the United Nations is corrupt. By remaining in this institution we share responsibility for the failure to prosecute the Oil for Food Scandal and the decisions not to ostracize from the world community tyrants like Robert Mugabe and the murderers in Dafur. The UN’s record in defending the innocent is abysmal. We should not be party to these policies.
